Nancy brought her passion for geriatric nursing to Extendicare 8 years ago. She enjoys having the opportunity to care for senior citizens. She has received extensive training and is certified in wound care. She is also a certified Nurse Executive. Nancy is pleased to be part of the management staff and proud of the Extendicare reputation for excellence ranking it among the top ten percent nationally for Long Term Care Providers by the Centers for Medicare Services. She is currently working on completing her certification in gerontology.
Nancy was pleased to be able to care for her supervisor, of many years, Ms. Cleo Freeman, when she became a resident at Extendicare after suffering a stroke. Having worked under Ms. Freeman’s supervision for many years, it was gratifying to be able to care for her. It was an opportunity to show Ms. Freeman she had taught and mentored her well.
Nancy is married to Milton S. Pearce. They have a daughter Tammy Caldwell and two grandchildren, 12 year old Katie and 15 year old Tyler. She enjoys spending time with her grandchildren, family and her much loved shelties. She goes to the beach every chance she gets. She hopes to accompany her grandchildren on mission trips.
