While continuing to work at Extendicare she went to school and obtained an Associate Degree in Nursing from Wallace College. She then became the RN Supervisor on the 11:00 P.M. -7:00 A.M. shift. She lost a child in a traumatic accident but with faith was able to get through it. She went on to become Care Plan Coordinator and worked the day shift. She remarried and life was going well when she was diagnosed with cancer. She continued to work as long as she could but finally lost her battle. Her beautiful spirit and faith continue to inspire Kay to be the best person she can be.
