How do I arrange for a tour of Extendicare?

How many long term care rooms are provided?
Extendicare is the largest skilled nursing facility in Dothan with 170 skilled beds. Of those, there are 32 private Short-term Rehabiliation beds, 30 Semi-private long term care rooms and 78 private long term care rooms.
How are fees for services reimbursed?
Medicare covers services for short-term rehabilitation along with several other private insurance companies. Long term care services are reimbursed by private pay or, if you qualify, Medicaid.
What is and is not included in the fee?
For long-term care services, your daily fee covers room and board, all meals and snacks, beauty shop services, television cable service, laundry service, nursing and daily care. Not covered are medications, personal items such as clothing, and telephone service.
What are visiting hours?
Extendicare has unlimited visiting hours. After 6PM, you must enter through the main entrance only.
What activities are provided for residents?
Extendicare, through our Activity Department, provides a wide array of daily activities for resident’s entertainment. Just a few would be worship and bible study activities, movies, bingo, birthday celebrations, entertainment by various volunteer groups, book club, spa day, outings for dining and shopping, and pet therapy.
